Kacey Munson Designs

  • Kacey Munson Designs features watercolor pieces, large scale paintings and commissioned art. With a love for both interior design and art that tells a story, Kacey is passionate about creating pieces that add dimension and sentiment to a space. Her favorite paintings often originate from candid scenes of people or landscapes. She strives to capture the images and emotions of these moments on canvas through figures and splashes of color; like a memory.

A lot of her artwork, especially her watercolor collages, are inspired by the ocean. The beach is home to many of Kacey’s most special memories and is her favorite place to spend time with her family. Abstract representations of these landscapes is thematic throughout many of Kacey’s different art pieces.

  • Combining her background as a teacher and her decades of experience with art & design, Kacey is excited to embark on this new endeavor: art workshops. She is available to teach local watercolor classes, private crafting events, and mini camps for both kids and adults. If you are looking to learn more about hosting a workshop in your studio space or next event, reach out to Kacey here!

  • Art and design have always been a part of Kacey’s life. Her grandmother and aunt, both artists, sparked her interests in drawing and creating from a young age. Throughout her childhood, she took art classes and participated in exhibits to showcase her work. She went on to study Visual and Fine Arts at Syracuse University before switching to English Lit and Education to pursue her love of teaching.

In 2012, while teaching in NYC, she created the invitations and decorations for her upcoming wedding, which led to the launch of her Etsy shop, Hoopla Love. As a side project, Kacey continued to design hand-painted invitations and decor for special events. Her work was featured on popular wedding sites like Brides, Style Me Pretty, and Oh So Beautiful Paper, and was even published in the book The Inspired Wedding.

In many ways, Kacey’s creative journey has continued to reflect the stages of her life. In 2014, Kacey expanded her designs beyond invitations, and began creating a collection of greeting cards, stationery and whimsical art prints. Many of these designs were inspired by her life at that time as a new mom with three little girls. Her products have been sold in select boutiques over the years and are currently available through her Etsy shop.

Lately, Kacey has returned to her fine arts roots, working in watercolor, pastels, and acrylics to create original and commissioned pieces.
